London Spitfire happen to be flying high because their stage one victory, and there's a Goose to their Maverick. London Spitfire have debuted their new Contenders group, British Hurricane. Just like Spitfire, British Hurricane takes on gloomy colors and a homage to the Royal Air Force. The Hawker Hurricane, the group's namesake, flew alongside the Supermarine Spitfire in the Battle of Britain.

Fans that have followed the pre-Overwatch League competitive spectacle may recognize former players in Cloud9's Europe squad, 123, and Singularity. The full roster premiered in a media statement:
London Spitfire have attracted criticism because of the South Korean roster, but the company backing up the team is solidly British. In a recent roundtable, Paul"Redeye" Chaloner of partnered organization Code Red Esports spoke about Cloud9's plans to not only attract the Korean roster to London to experience the culture, but also to aggressively pursue and cultivate British gift. This is a really clear first measure, and it'll be interesting to see how large British Hurricane can fly in Contenders.
