London Spitfire happen to be flying high because their stage one victory, and there's a Goose to their Maverick. London Spitfire have debuted their new Contenders group, British Hurricane. Just like Spitfire, British Hurricane takes on gloomy colors and a homage to the Royal Air Force. The Hawker Hurricane, the group's namesake, flew alongside the Supermarine Spitfire in the Battle of Britain.
What is very different from the Spitfire is Hurricane's roster, which has chosen talent from across Europe. Fans that have followed the pre-Overwatch League competitive spectacle may recognize former players in Cloud9's Europe squad, 123, and Singularity. The full roster premiered in a media statement:
London Spitfire have attracted criticism because of the South Korean roster, but the company backing up the team is solidly British. In a recent roundtable, Paul"Redeye" Chaloner of partnered organization Code Red Esports spoke about Cloud9's plans to not only attract the Korean roster to London to experience the culture, but also to aggressively pursue and cultivate British gift. This is a really clear first measure, and it'll be interesting to see how large British Hurricane can fly in Contenders.

The first issue is a confirmation on these Sombra changes that unintentionally made it to Live--they'll be about the PTR to be assessed and tested. These modifications increase the power and usefulness of Sombra's single target hack with a good bargain, but remove her hacked first aid kits' ability to charge her up supreme at lightning speed. The PTR will allow players to check out this brand new Sombra, who must feel much more as an Offense character and similar to an odd hybrid vehicle Support.
How about Mei, everybody's favourite ice queen? The Overwatch dev team believes she's close to balanced, but are analyzing a longer freeze duration. This should prevent slippery DPS from getting away once they have gotten to a corner or any distance from Mei. They're also giving her some more ammo for her secondary flame, which means Genjis and McCrees are on notice: Mei's a better sniper than ever before. Doomfist is getting a small change to his shooting rate. He'll fire more frequently, with shots which do less harm. He should feel as though he's doing the same amount of damage, but it ought to be more consistent and feel much more gratifying. In terms of Hanzo, he'll be coming"soon". Blizzard have attempted giving Hanzo a few fresh, alternate abilities that were discussed on the forums, such as a hammer for his special arrows along with a barrier piercing snipe. Instead, the group chose to examine a rapid-fire capability that snaps off five arrows in rapid succession. Hanzo can also horizontally leap in whatever way he is facing. While Hanzo will not be around the PTR along with Sombra and Mei's more substantial changes, it seems like he's coming along well. Finally, Jeff teases us with the next two heroes from the dev team's sights: Symmetra and Torbjörn. Those of us who like to build in Overwatch can look forward to future upgrades. Cheering is a program that has already debuted on Twitch, but it is now being incorporated into Overwatch League seeing. Fans may Cheer with Bits, the virtual Twitch currency, and also the next rewards could be given as a result: The tl;dr is that pruning has a chance to score you skins and emotes, and the men and women who spend the most on Twitch Bits will get to compete for a place on the leaderboard. It's not clear how many Bits can be invested and how the bonuses correlate, but it feels like an intriguing system. Funds raised through this system will"support the partnership" between Twitch along with the Overwatch League, as opposed to individual teams. Overwatch League Tokens Earning tokens so far has demanded fans to pull out their wallet and make a transaction in the customer, with half of each skin's price visiting the team. Teams also have been hosting Token giveaways. Currently, Overwatch League audiences can get Tokens by linking their Battle.net account with Twitch, MLG.com, or OverwatchLeague.com. In addition, a proportion of viewers who see the live broadcast to the conclusion can randomly make one hundred Tokens (sufficient for one epidermis ). This seems like it could potentially add up if you're watching every game, because a game covers multiple maps. Add in the 100 Tokens bonus, and lovers could potentially be able to round out their collection in a timely manner. These advantages will soon be available to PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 gamers. The program will run through the inaugural season of this Overwatch League, and may possibly expand to other nations. More importantly. There will be many more perks declared further along in development. A Moderate blog by Twitch covers the arrangement, and fans can connect their accounts through their Twitch profile to ensure they'll start earning Tokens prior to the stage two matches begin tonight. |
